About GoodSalt

GoodSalt® is a lower sodium iodized salt that tastes just like regular salt.  Invented in Finland by Dr Heikki Karppanen, GoodSalt® is a new salt alternative that tastes and can be used in substitute for general seasoning, cooking, baking, and table use.

The sodium content in GoodSalt® is almost halved (57%) and replaced by essential minerals such as potassium (28%) magnesium (12%), lysine (2%) and iodine—all very desirable nutrients for everyday health.           

This powerful combination of minerals helps to protect users from LVH salt damage, maintain cardiac rhythm and lower blood pressure. Potassium is beneficial for heart, muscular and digestive functions. Magnesium is beneficial for your heart as it helps to protect against a risk factor of premature cardiovascular disease, and contributes to absorption of calcium in the body. Lysine and Iodine are beneficial for protein synthesis and brain cell development in children.
